Big Fat Sandwich, Hauz Khas

Big Fat Sandwich, Hauz Khas is serving up some crazy Sandwiches gourmet style at fast food prices.  After its success at Select Citywalk, the brand has opened multiple outlets in the city. The one in hauz Khas is very conveniently located right next to the Hauz Khas market and the outlet itself is shared by Blue Tokai and Miam Patisserie. Great coffee, delectable desserts and drooly sandwiches - What more can you ask for?

Since it is the month of Sawan, I have decided to turn vegetarian for a month. BigFatSandwich seemed to be a happy change as I looked for something other than Indian food to keep me satiated.

So I went ahead and ordered Zeus - the king of salads, Kung Fungi Sandwich, Moms special sandwich and Cold coffee freshly blended with ice cream to wash it down.

The cold coffee freshly blended with ice cream was creamy, frothy and gave me a good kick of caffeine.

Zeus, as per the description - the king of salads was everything I needed. The salad was an excellent combination of bell peppers, olives, cucumber, lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, apple, pear topped with fresh feta.

Looking through the menu, I started craving for the meaty non veg sandwiches, but since I chose to be a vegetarian this month, i decided to give it a try atleast.
I ordered the Kung Fungi which was exactly what I needed - The mushroom patty was meaty and had a great bite and the thyme seasoned cheese sauce was flavourful and appetizing.
The Mom's special sandwich which had a-parmesan infused crispy cottage cheese patty topped with  marinara sauce, melted mozarella, lettuce & tomato was a gastronomic delight.

I loved the sandwiches and cannot go back to try the non veg sandwiches. If the vegetarian sandwiches were so damn good, I cannot even imagine how good the non veg sandwiches would be.
You should try them as well!

Happy eating!
