Big Fat Pizza, Safdarjung, New Delhi
After the success of Big Fat Sandwich, the brand has opened a all new outlet in Safdarjung which is dedicated majorly to Pizza. Located right opposite Deer park in the locally popular B6 market, Big Fat Pizza seems to have already found a solid loyal following. I pass by the market almost every other day and there is not a day that Big Fat Pizza is not almost completely occupied.
The outlet itself is shared by 2 more brands - Kaffacerado serving the best coffee in the neighbourhood and Bombaykery. What more can you ask for?
Although the outlet is named Big Fat Pizza, I am also a big fan of their Pasta and Salads.
Moving on, the outlet offers some basic drinks out of which I usually have the Lemon Iced tea. It does not come from a powder iced tea mix and is fresh, lemony and minty with limited sugar as Iced tea should be.
The Eggs Benedict which is a traditional American breakfast or brunch dish, consists of two halves of bread or an English muffin each of which is topped with bacon, a poached egg, and hollandaise sauce was what i tried next. The perfectly cooked egg with the runny yolk is my favourite part of the dish and I was not disappointed. The hollandaise sauce was well prepared and with my favourite items already on the plate (bacon & eggs) , I could not have been happier!
Then I tried the "Under the Sun Pizza" with an extra topping of chicken. The tomato base was flavourful and spicy and the toppings i.e. olive, cheese, chicken were well seasoned.
I would have preferred the base to be thinner than it was, but it wasn't so bad!
I will be going back to try the rest of their menu for sure and would suggest that you do too!
Happy eating!
