This resonant space transcends beyond the concept of an artsy studio into a more integrated, cozy, creative dimension which makes it a stupendous treat to the eyes, indeed.
We started with the Plum-Fusion Sangria and Plum & Passion cocktails.
The Plum-Fusion Sangria which is a concoction of tropical fruits along with oriental herbs infused with red wine was very earthy, tasteful and was infused with a lot of flavours.
The Plum & Passion was a fresh and tangy mixture of fresh plum, rum, vodka, passion fruit juice, grilled lemon, pomegranate wine, chillies and wasabi nuts.
Smash on the Rocks which we tried next was a beautiful mixture of honey liqueur, fresh watermelon, lemon, grapefruit syrup. home made ginger wine, elderberry liqueur and wild spearmint.
The Pear and Green Tea Bellini was very smooth and exquisite.
Spicy barbecued chicken bao with crispy scallion and garlic flakes was soft, tasty and could have used a little more filling.
The Shanghai Pork dumplings were very well prepared, juicy and flavourful.
The Sushi - California Uramaki and Prawn tempura uramaki were so darn good! I could have the sushi all day , every day!
The Prawn and Sesame on toast was average - it was too oily and the taste of the sesame seeds took up all the flavours and you could barely taste the prawn.
The cherry on the top of the meal was the perfect combination of the Chilli oil noodles and the mongolian chicken claypot. The slight sweetness of the claypot went very well with the spicy noodles.
Plum by Bent Chair is the perfect amalgamation of pan asian food and quirky decor and you have to try it!
Happy eating!
