Simply Sushi at Saket is an exclusive Japanese speciality restaurant that is pro at serving Japanese dishes, inspired by World cuisine with an emphasis on technique and excellent quality of ingredients.
The menu has been carefully curated by Chef Chef Yutaka Saito under the guidance of Chef Mayank Tiwari, Group Executive Chef of PVR.
Maki Sushi rolls, Japadogs, an innovative twist on the traditional Amercian hotdog and white fish carpaccio are a must have.
The setting is simple and inviting. The plates with cherry blossoms bring a smile on your face and put you at ease. The ambience is very relaxing and positive.
All the Sushi rolls we tried were delectable, flavourful and an absolute gastronomic delight. Each roll was prepared perfectly and the balance of flavours was on point. The ingredients used were fresh and the flavours were clean. The sushi rolls we tried were -
The California Roll
Cream cheese asparagus tempura roll
Baked California roll (veg)
Cucumber avocado and sesame
Shrimp roll
I would like to specially mention the Baked California roll (veg) which was topped with a layer of mushrooms which was then heated up using a blow torch. The whole process elevated the flavours of the sushi and made it absolutely fantastic.
The Avocado Tartare made of avocado, sushi rice and spicy mayo was surprisingly very smooth and delicious and not bitter at all.
The Tofu Spinach with Shira-ae white sesame sauce was basically spinach and tofu blended together , moulded into a circular shape, covered with sesame seeds and served with the sauce. The overall blend was a bit dense and could have been smoother.
To finish the meal and aid the digestion, we tried the Matcha green tea which was a simple but flavourful tea.
Simply Sushi makes sure that the diners return back and vouch for the place not only for the quality and taste of the food it serves but also for the cool ambience the place holds. It is a must-visit place for folks who get that craving for the exceptional quality of food.
Happy eating!
