Zorambo, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon
Zorambo is a first of its kind ‘Born in India’ Caftaurant (Cafe + Restaurant) that serves some great Indo-western food items including coffee, tea, samosas, shakes and a variety of other Indian snacks, along some indian versions of western dishes like Quiche, fried chicken and also some extremely mouthwatering desserts, excellent service and a relaxing & colourful ambience.
Being a Caftaurant, Zorambo is a pocket friendly and provides a wide variety to choose from. It is a one-stop-shop to satisfy all your snack cravings. Zorambo also provides a co-working space wherein customers can simply plug in their laptops and plan meetings outside of their usual workspace.
They currently have three outlets at Millennium City, Gurugram- Central Plaza, South City 2 and JMD Megapolis and plan to open atleast 200 outlets across India, UK, Ireland, Germany and Singapore over the next 48 months.
We visited the outlet at Golf course road and were welcomed by their very friendly staff. The neat and colourful interiors instantly uplifted my mood and was a major contrast to the dull and rainy weather outside.
With a wide variety of options to choose from, we were majorly confused. I wanted to try a little bit of everything on display and on the menu!
We finally made up our minds and ordered the Mutton Keema samosa, Pink Latte and Darjeeling Tea.
The Mutton keema samosa with the delicious filling of onion, minced mutton, garlic and chilli served with tamarind chutney and green chutney was perfect. The crunchy and flaky outside with a warm and flavourful filling - just yumm!
The Pink Latte which is the regular Cafe Latte with pink food colouring was also quite nice. The food colouring does not add any flavour and so the taste was the same as the Latte.
The Chicken Kurkure was my absolute favourite dish of the evening - tender and juicy chicken strips fried in a lovely batter till golden and crisp served with lip smacking dips
The Cold coffee again was well prepared and delicious.
The Paneer kurkure which is fried cottage cheese served was also tender and flavourful and was served with some great dips.
The evening ended with the Honey Walnut Tart and the Chocolate Tart. The quality of chocolate used in the chocolate tart was very high and so that tart was delicious. However, the one thing that could have been improved upon was the base of the tart which was quite dense.
The Honey Walnut Tart which was sticky, warm and comforting was just perfect. The flaky crust along with the warm and soothing flavours proved to be the best ending to the evening.
Zorambo will add more items to their menu in the coming months (including healthy snacks for the more health conscious). Instead of debating an outing to a Cafe or a Restaurant, try out Zorambo which will give you the best of both worlds!
Happy eating!
