Hive Kitchen and Bar, Green Park

Green Park market has always had various restaurants with various cuisines. Most of these places did not serve alcohol and were mostly vegetarian. Even as children, we went either to Evergreen or just for a cup of coffee. Hive Kitchen and Bar is the new entrant as Green Park market located right next to Evergreen. The restaurant is divided in two sections- a family oriented space on the 2nd floor and a more happening lounge on the third floor. The interiors are simple but create a really positive vibe. Hive does not only serve alcohol and non veg, but also sheesha and has a DJ everyday! what more could you ask for. The owners are also partners at Moonshine and Summer House Cafe and so you are bound to have a good time. The one thing that we really loved about the place was that it allows a lot of natural light to get in and the fact that it is not dark or dingy. The 3rd floor has a glass roof. Water flows on this glass roof which is also which is covered with creepers which adds a different yet natural touch to the space. Plus the view of the clear sky just makes it a lot more better. 

The cold coffee was probably the best we have ever had in Delhi - creamy, milky and just luscious.

The crispy chicken croquettes were to die for. We ended up having two servings because it was so good. Crunchy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside with the right seasoning - just spot on!

Their signature cocktail - Cocum Hive was light and refreshing .

The mint julep was a little too sweet and so was not one of our favourites.

The juicy Lamb burger looked like it had come out of a poster! Flavoured with an in house spice rub, jalapenos and olives and served with french fries, it was juicy and succulent and the burger was big enough for two people to share.

Next we tried the Indian styled spiced fish curry served with herbed rice. The curry had an almost Goan/Konkan taste but was absolutely delicious. The fish was well cooked and along with the rice it was a great combination.

We ended the evening with the red velvet cake which again was moist and the cream was light and fresh.

Nestled in the bustling Green Park market, Hive is the perfect getaway for a unique and casual dining experience with friends and family.
