Asian Haus
We tried the Sushi from Sushi Haus a couple of weeks ago and were extremely impressed with the whole experience. So as soon as we had the chance, we just had to try the food from its sister concern- Asian Haus.
Asian Haus specialises in gourmet delivery, bringing a taste of the best in contemporary Pan Asian cuisine to Delhi and NCR. They make a conscious effort to reduce the use of artificial flavours, oils and sugar traditionally used in Asian cooking and also use imported products and sauces to ensure that the food retains its Asian authenticity.
The menu is elaborate and has a lot of options for a non vegetarians. The spread for vegetarians is not too bad either. Ashish, the owner, understood our preferences and sent over a heap of food to try out.
3 cardboard boxes laden with food were delivered right on time. The packaging was a visual delight. The food was neatly packed in the containers, heat sealed with plastic, labelled and stacked neatly within the cardboard boxes. I still cannot get over the beautiful round flower shaped boxes in which the dumplings were packed. In addition to the pretty boxes, a separate box containing chopsticks, wet wipes and sauces just sprung the delivery experience to a new high. We just could not wait to get started.
We began our meal with the Chicken Scallion dumplings. The dumplings packed along with the spicy schezwan was a simple but great combination. The dumplings were excellent and well presented.
The Pak choy and corn dumplings were delightful. The juicy and moist dimsums pre dominantly tasted of Pak Choy and served with the spicy schezwan were extremely enjoyable.
The spicy Rice cakes is what we tried next, seasoned boiled rice, fried and cooked in a thick spicy sauce. Oh yum!
The Sichuan Spicy chicken was my favourite. The tender & succulent chicken cooked with the right amount of spices. This one hit all the high notes of my palate. I could have more of this every single day.
The vegetarian Pad Thai was a bit of a let down. Though the quantity was great for two people, the noodles were a little too thick for our liking, lacked seasoning and did not have enough vegetables and was topped with very few peanuts.
The Kung Pao chicken was soft, juicy and well cooked. The quality of the chicken was really good and the quantity was enough for 2 people.
The Thai green curry with fragrant rice was more than enough for three people. The rice was topped with caramelised onion which also gave it the fragrance and the green curry was very flavoursome.
The Hawkers fried rice was delectable and flavoursome.
If you are looking for a variety of Pan Asian food, then you should definitely try Asian Haus. With the delightful packaging and the amazing customer service, we will definitely order again in the days to come.
