Even though I am a hard core meat lover, even the thought of buying meat from a butcher's shop nearby make me cringe. The whole experience of buying meat is rather unhygienic and unhealthy- the flies buzzing everywhere, the unusual odour, the over friendly (or extremely scary) uncle at the counter and also the fact that you can just never be sure if the meat you are buying is fresh or not. Its easy when your parents know "the guy" at the butcher's shop and have been buying meat from him all along; all you need to do is call him and ask him to deliver your favourite meat at home. But when you  move out of the nest and live by yourself, buying meat becomes an ordeal of sorts.

Zappfresh, a Gurgaon based start up, analysed the meat buying ordeal and converted it into an easy ordering system online . 

They have recently started operations in South Delhi (they charge a delivery fee for delivery in Delhi) and assure delivery of high quality and fresh meat at your doorstep within 90 minutes.

They currently offer 40 different items including whole chicken, mutton and pork and also pre cooked items such as cold cuts like ham, sausages, salami etc. They are planning to include seafood as a part of their offerings.

Zappfresh procures meat from the farms around Gurgaon, where they periodically conduct quality checks and regular inspections to maintain high quality. 

I love stuffed sausages  and so when I heard that Zappfresh delivers those too, I just had to try the Cheese and Onion Chicken sausages. The sausages were delivered on time as promised and were neatly packed in a box. 

Since it was time for breakfast, I quickly opened the box and cooked the sausages along with my favourite - eggs. 

The sausages were delicious and tender. The cheese was oozing out of the sausages and the onions added a sweet flavour to the sausages. The sausages went perfectly with my gooey egg yolk. Oh yum! on nom nom. Before I knew it, I had gobbled up all the pieces. 

With more than 1500 happy customers in Gurgaon, Zappfresh is definitely becoming a popular choice with the Gurgaon locals.
