Bite Club
Too tired to cook something elaborate, bored of constantly going out for meals, craving for home cooked food and a hunger pang lead us to ordering from Bite Club.
The name- Bite Club inspired from the movie Fight Club was co founded by three passionate guys, Aushim, Siddharth and Prateek who were frustrated with the existing food options. They created a platform wherein home chefs, recipe bloggers, ex-restaurateurs and professional chefs came together to offer wholesome food prepared in the comfort of their own home/kitchens while Bite Club took care of the packaging, delivery, technology and marketing.
The menu at Bite Club changes every day and so you will never get bored with the variety that they currently offer via their mobile app, their website and also on call.
We tried the Dal Makhani, Achari Aloo, Jeera Rice, Boondi Raita, Salad and Paranthas, a vegetarian combo of sorts prepared by Chef Simran Chawla and Achari Murg Tikka, Murg Makhanwala, Jeera Rice, Boondi Raita, Salad and Paranthas by Chef Vikas Tyagi.
The food was delivered as per the time requested and was very neatly packed in labelled boxes along with plastic cutlery and paper napkins which were packed neatly in separate packets.
The portions were enough for one person (in case you are extremely hungry) or for 2 people in case you are picky eaters.
The Dal makhani was creamy, the achari aloo was not too spicy or oily and the sweet and savoury boondi raita was delicious. The soft home made paranthas and the well seasoned salad went perfectly with the meal. It was almost like the food was just packed fancily and sent over by my mother.
Ambika looked extremely happy with the Achari Murg Tikka. The tikka was soft and the masala was spicy - just as she likes it. The Murg Makhanwala on the other hand was slightly undercooked. However,the creamy and luscious gravy of the Murg Makhanwala made up for the undercooked chicken.
The jar of delectable red velvet cake topped with rich cream just made our day!
Since the food is home cooked, there is hardly any guilt factor while you relish the meal.The food is reasonably priced with enough options for vegetarians and non vegetarians and the best part is that there is no minimum order for delivery . You can order something as simple as Custard and be assured that it will be delivered to you on time without any hassles.
