Eatonomist, Gurgaon
Healthy. Delicious. Convenient. Three simple words which when displayed on the website made me think - Who would be confident enough to write Convenient? All the fancy joints that deliver healthy food in Gurgaon never seem to mention the fact that ordering is convenient. More often than not, you are forced to download an app which will then allow you to order food- Ugh! What a pain! There was only one way to find out how convenient this process was going to be.
Eatonomist is the product of the search for recipes that could not only tantalize the taste buds but also boast of a health quotient. The love of food can move mountains. Nupur and Ainsha put together an accomplished team of seasoned chefs and nutritionists to help them navigate the big bad world of healthy eating and so Eatonomist was born. They managed to achieve the unthinkable - over 80 menu items that confidently walk the thin line between healthy and tasty.
We went ahead and ordered dinner for two - Grilled Vegetables, Paneer Jhalfrezi with Spinach Roti and Tofu Curry with steamed rice for the Vegetarian husband and Ginger Orange glazed chicken with rice for me. The website is easy to navigate and convenient & you are not forced to download an app for it.
The food was delivered right on time and somehow it was piping hot. As if it came out from my kitchen. How i wish that were true. Anyway, being the hungry children that we always are, we could not wait to get started.
The grilled veggies were soft and tender which just a little bit of a bite and were seasoned well.
The Paneer Jhalfrezi was exceptionally flavourful. I totally loved it. The Spinach Roti was a great way to cut the heat from the curry and give the dish some balance.
The Orange and Ginger glazed chicken was another hit. The gravy was soo good that even if it was given to me as a soup, i would have happily gulped it down. The chicken was well cooked, soft and moist.
The Tofu curry and rice was equally good and flavourful.
Each time we were about to try a new dish, we were expecting to be let down in one way or another, as that is what usually happens. But this time, Eatonomist proved us wrong . They delivered exactly what our taste buds asked for with clean flavours and great preparation.
The quantity of each dish was such that it would suffice for one person alone. So this is the perfect place to order lunch/dinner from when you are alone and also when you secretly do not like sharing food :P
