Time and again we are bombarded with research statistics that talk about how we should not drink packaged/bottled juices and drinks, about how much sugar , additives and other chemicals each of those drinks contain and about how harmful they can be.
Every time we dine out, we make a conscious decision to opt for something fresh and healthy and more often than not, it is extremely difficult to find something that is.
Innovative juice brands offering healthy options are becoming increasingly popular these days. These juices, along with vegan milk are being marketed as health shots that benefit the body directly.
Zoe, meaning 'life' in Greek, is a nutrition-first foods & beverages brand. They are committed to enhancing your life by making nutritionally rich foods for you everyday, foods that will remarkably improve your overall health, nutrition, happiness and well-being. Their foods have phenomenal life-uplifting properties, making it a great choice for you.
They offer fruit parfaits, yogurt smoothies, vegan frappes and cold pressed juices and we tried some of each of these.
Starting with the fruit parfaits, we had the option of trying Gusto and Verve.
Gautam loves oats. He can eat any form of it at any given time- Replacing rice with oats, having roti made of oats atta or the regular oats and milk for breakfast. So it was no surprise that Gautam loved Gusto which was made of blueberry, oats, honey, yoghurt and milk topped with apples. It was light, creamy, fresh, fruity and not too sweet.
I loved Verve. It had banana, chia seeds, red grapes, yoghurt and honey. It also brought back memories of the time my mother used to combine fresh cream and fruits for dessert.
Apart from the fruit parfaits, we also tried their cold pressed juices, yoghurt smoothies and vegan frappes.
Feel the fuel made of Coconut water, sugarcane and chia seeds was light and refreshing.
Feel the Win, made of watermelon, tomato, pomegranate, coconut water, rosemary and lemon leaves was sweet and tangy. I was a little worried that it would be sour, but it was an absolute delight.
The vegan frappes - Mocha and the Original Frappe, both made with Almond milk sweetened with honey were delicious.
The yoghurt smoothies that we tried were - For the Hero and For the Wizard.
For the Hero was made of Almonds, Peanuts, banana, Flaxseeds, honey and yogurt and For the Wizard was made of orange black grapes, honey, figs and yogurt.
The smoothies were slightly heavier than the juices . Any one of these smoothies would serve as the perfect breakfast for people who have no time to sit down and eat breakfast.
