Fat Monk, Gurgaon

I crave for the street style chinese food that you get at local trucks and thelas. But as I am growing older, I realise that though the taste of the street style chinese food appeals to me, the quality of food also plays an important role.

Fine dining restaurants do not have the street style taste or look and the street style places do not have the quality of the food that fine dining places do.
So everytime I order from a chinese place, it is always a trade off between quality and taste.
Fat Monk was one place which gave me both - the quality and the unique indian chinese taste.
The food was delivered piping hot and right on time!

The Lemon chicken was extremely flavourful and cooked to perfection.

The Paneer chilly was exactly what it should be - spicy and delicious.

The Juicy Chicken drumsticks were quite disappointing. It seemed like the drumsticks had too much batter and too little chicken. Will definitely not order this dish again.

You can never really go wrong with Crispy Chilli Potato - crispy, crunchy, sweet, spicy & mouth watering - Oh yummm!

The quantities of each starter are enough for 2 people to share. The classic combo of Veg Fried rice and veg manchurian was the last part of our meal. The rice was well prepared and had loads of veggies just like I like them. The manchurian gravy was  the exact indian-chinese fix I wanted it to be. However, the Manchurian balls again had more batter than veggies.

The next time you crave for Indian - Chinese food, try ordering from Fat Monk. :)

Happy eating!
