Warehouse Cafe, Sector 29, Gurgaon

Anyone who loves Warehouse Cafe in CP will love the new outlet in Gurgaon, Sector 29 even more. Why you ask? For starters, it is a super hero themed outlet with a Batman theme on one floor and Spiderman on the other.

Secondly, they have revamped their entire menu and included alcohol infused dishes along with the regular dishes and have also cut down the prices a lot (really). Third- they have their own beer! Warehouse Cafe Gurgaon brews its own beer using German technology and its as cheap at INR 85 per glass! They currently serve four variants - premium lager, wheat beer, red ale and dark beer (stout foam).

If all this has not got you excited yet, then this definitely will- they have vapourisers. People like us in Gurgaon are usually bummed out because there are no places that serve hookah and so every time you want hookah, you end up driving down to Delhi (which is usually a pain). Warehouse Cafe has taken care of our hookah needs and has now introduced electronic vapourisers which not only replace the hookahs but are better than them- More smoke, no coal, its all electronic and you get any flavour you want! yay!

Moving on to the food, the vodka infused Fish tikka was the first thing I wanted to try. The fish tikka itself was soft, juicy and perfectly cooked and the vodka which was poured on top added a slight zing to the taste.

The Veg Shish touk that we tried next was extremely well prepared and well seasoned. The soft and delicate pieces just melted in the mouth.

The veg Tandoori momos which we tried next were not as good as we expected them to be. The filling was very disappointing and was nothing that we expected in a momo. It seemed more like a Mix Vegetable dish stuffed into a momo.

The chicken Tandoori momo on the other hand was filled with juicy and delicious chicken.

The tamarind & mustard Paneer that we tried next was not only a pleasant surprise but also an absolute delight for our taste buds. The tamarind added a subtle yet sweet and tangy taste to the soft paneer. It was so good that we actually thought of ordering another serving!

Buttermilk and Tonic water infused crumbed chicken with spicy BBQ ranch dip was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside because of the buttermilk.

The Warehouse Chat sampler was next with Golgappa, Bhalla Papdi, Samosa & Aloo tikki. Each of the items on the sampler were non spicy and had very subtle flavours. It was good enough for 2 people easily. I personally like my chat a little spicy and Gautam loves the non spicy chat so this was his favourite.

The Veg enchiladas were so filled with cottage cheese that you could not taste much apart from that.

With the delicious Tiramisu, the evening ended on a high note.

Warehouse Cafe has really thought about what its customers need and has also delivered the same- lower prices, great new dishes and mocktails, brewed beer in the menu and vapurisers.

We will definitely go back for more.
Happy eating!
